Cumbria Chamber have joined forces with North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for an event on how to succeed on the BBC’s hit programme, Dragon’s Den.
Attendees will hear from award-winning business owners who have been on the programme and secured investment to make their entrepreneurial dreams come true!
Joining us for the event, ready to share their stories and advice, are entrepreneurs Denise Gosney, Derry Green and Gemma Connolly. You can find out a bit more about each speaker below…
Denise Gosney is the owner of Razzamataz Theatre Schools, a chain of theatre schools for children between the ages of 2 to 18. In 2007, she went onto Dragons Den looking for a £50,000 investment and managed to secure all the money with no haggling. Watch Denise’s pitch here.
Derry Green started his business, Secret Garden Glamping, in lockdown as a personal project, his passion then grow and he turned this hobby into a very successful business. His pitch on Dragons Den, left all of the dragons very impressed leading to offers from 4 of them. See Derry’s Pitch, here.
Gemma Connelly is the founder of Scoff Paper who claim to make the world’s first edible cards for dogs. When she went to Dragons Den with her dog Leo and managed to get two offers and secured her final investment with Sara Davis. See Gemma’s pitch, here.
