This year, we’re bringing together 300+ business people to the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick for a day of inspiration and networking!
This year’s theme is ‘Make It Happen’ is all about taking action – turning ideas into reality, overcoming challenges, and building thriving local businesses through entrepreneurship, strong leadership and teamwork.
Born to entrepreneurial parents Frank and Susan in the North East, Sara Davies MBE always aspired to forge a career in business. In this informative and engaging session, Sara shares her journey – from the early days of assisting her parents in running their paint and decorating shop to the inspiration that led her to establish her multi-million-pound business, Crafter’s Companion, aged just 21 from her university bedroom.
Despite the challenges faced as a young, northern female entrepreneur, Sara discusses how staying true to yourself can be the ultimate superpower. She explains why age should never be a barrier to starting a business—or even becoming a Dragon! And how it’s never, ever too late to make things happen!
