Local businesses are invited to join a free-to-attend event on the Armed Forces Covenant and employing ex military personnel, taking place at Centre Parcs on 26th March.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a national promise to ensure fair treatment for those who serve or have served in the armed forces, as well as their families. By signing the covenant, businesses can publicly demonstrate their commitment to supporting the armed forces community.
This event is running as part of the Chamber’s work on the Cumbria Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), which identified specific skills and staffing shortages across the county. By getting involved in the AFC, businesses can make themselves more attractive to ex-service personnel and reservists who possess valuable and transferable skills, experience and qualities.
