Armstrong Watson is supporting this year’s Links & Leads event as an Event Sponsor, helping to bring together Cumbria’s senior business leaders for an exclusive networking experience as part of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Directors’ Forum programme.
The event is also supported by Porsche South Lakes, with both organisations helping to create opportunities for meaningful business connections and collaboration across the county.
The Directors’ Forum provides senior leaders and decision-makers with opportunities to step away from their day-to-day responsibilities, explore shared challenges and build trusted relationships with other experienced figures from across Cumbria’s business community.
Links & Leads will take the Forum outside the traditional business setting, bringing members together for a day of golf and purposeful conversation at Silloth on Solway Golf Club.
Although golf provides the backdrop, the value of the event lies in the conversations it creates. Its relaxed format gives members the time to exchange perspectives, learn from one another and develop relationships that can continue long after the day itself.
Silloth is consistently ranked among the UK’s Top 100 golf courses and has also been included by Darius Oliver of Planet Golf in his ranking of the world’s Top 100 courses, providing a fitting setting for one of the Forum’s most distinctive events.
James Bridges, Head of Membership & Commercial at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Leadership can sometimes be isolating. Even within a busy organisation, there are relatively few opportunities to speak candidly with people who are facing similar decisions, pressures and responsibilities.
“That is where the Directors’ Forum delivers real value. It creates a trusted network of peers who can learn from one another, challenge each other’s thinking and form relationships that extend well beyond an individual event.
“We are delighted to have Armstrong Watson supporting the event alongside our other valued partners. Their involvement helps us create the right environment for meaningful conversations and reflects the quality and ambition behind the wider Directors’ Forum programme.”
Stephen McCullough, Head of Marketing and Business Development at Armstrong Watson, added:
“Supporting business leaders is at the heart of what we do, and we see first-hand the value of collaboration and trusted networks in helping businesses thrive.
“We are incredibly proud to support this year’s Links & Leads event alongside Cumbria Chamber of Commerce and Porsche South Lakes. It is an opportunity for business leaders to exchange ideas and build connections that can support long-term success.”
Members will compete in teams using the Texas Scramble format, with additional individual challenges for the longest drive and nearest to the pin.
Following the round, guests will gather in the club’s historic Leitch Lounge for lunch, providing a further opportunity to continue conversations before the results and winners are announced.
Links & Leads forms part of Cumbria Chamber’s wider Directors’ Forum programme, which gives senior leaders access to an influential peer network and a carefully considered programme built around shared learning, meaningful connections and collaboration.
