Porsche Centre South Lakes Supports Cumbria Chamber Directors’ Forum Links & Leads Event

Porsche Centre South Lakes is supporting this year’s Links & Leads event as an Event Sponsor, forming part of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Directors’ Forum programme.

The Directors’ Forum brings together senior business leaders and decision-makers from across Cumbria, creating a trusted environment in which members can exchange experiences, develop valuable relationships and explore the challenges and opportunities facing their organisations.

Links & Leads will offer members the opportunity to spend meaningful time together away from the usual business setting, combining golf, hospitality and relaxed conversation at Silloth on Solway Golf Club.

Consistently ranked among the UK’s Top 100 golf courses, Silloth has also been included by Darius Oliver of Planet Golf in his ranking of the world’s Top 100 courses. Its celebrated links layout is regarded as one of Cumbria’s finest sporting venues, rivalling many of the renowned championship courses found across the Solway in Scotland.

As part of its support for the event, Porsche Centre South Lakes will enhance the experience by showcasing a display of Porsche vehicles around the course for guests to enjoy throughout the day.

James Bridges, Head of Membership & Commercial at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, said:

“The Directors’ Forum is about creating a trusted space where senior leaders can speak openly, share their experiences and build relationships that deliver lasting value for their organisations and Cumbria’s wider business community.

“Links & Leads reflects that purpose perfectly. Silloth provides an exceptional but relaxed setting where conversations can develop naturally, and members have the time to strengthen relationships beyond the confines of a traditional business event.

“We are delighted to have Porsche Centre South Lakes supporting the event alongside other valued sponsors. Their involvement and display of Porsche vehicles will add something genuinely special to what promises to be a memorable experience for our members.”

Richard Smith, Marketing Manager at Porsche Centre South Lakes, said:

“It is fantastic to once again be taking part in the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce Links & Leads Golf Event. It provides us with a great opportunity to step outside the showroom, connect with like-minded business owners and professionals from across the region, and strengthen relationships in a relaxed, enjoyable and engaging environment.

“As a business with deep roots in Cumbria and the wider North West, supporting events that bring the local business community together is incredibly important to us. It is not only about creating new connections but also developing existing relationships and being part of a strong and collaborative business network across the region.

“This is our second year taking part in the Links & Leads event, and we are already looking forward to continuing our involvement and supporting the event for many more years to come.”

During the day, members will compete in teams using the Texas Scramble format, alongside individual challenges for the longest drive and nearest to the pin.

The experience will conclude in the club’s historic Leitch Lounge, where guests will enjoy lunch and continue their conversations while the final scores are calculated and the winners announced.

Links & Leads forms part of Cumbria Chamber’s wider Directors’ Forum programme, which provides senior leaders with carefully considered opportunities to connect, exchange knowledge and develop valuable peer relationships.
