Introducing Solar Teaching

Solar Teaching is a specialist recruitment agency based in North West Cumbria.

Solar Teaching is a specialist recruitment agency based in the North West Cumbria with a combined experience of 10 + years of connecting with schools with exceptional talent. They cater to a wide range of educational needs by offering day to day, long term and short term roles such as Learning Support Assistants, Cover Supervisors, and Teachers.

Raymond, Senior Partnership Executive at Solar Teaching, said:

“My name is Raymond, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the Senior Partnership Executive at Solar Teaching. With 7 years of experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor, I have specialised in supporting students with diverse needs, including SEND, autism, ADHD, and more. This hands-on experience has given me valuable insights into what schools truly require in a candidate, having been in the heart of educational settings for several years.

Beyond my professional endeavours, I am a dedicated football player with a history of playing at a professional level. This passion for sports mirrors my belief that education is not only an essential part of the community but also a powerful tool that can change the trajectory of young lives in Cumbria. I am a firm advocate for bridging the gap in job opportunities across Cumbria and empowering the youth to create a brighter future for themselves and the region.

I am enthusiastic about the prospect of contributing to the transformation of young minds and careers in Cumbria through partnership with Solar Teaching. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my unique background and experiences can align with the goals and vision of Solar Teaching. “

Larna, Chief Business Officer, said:

“I am Larna, the Chief Business Officer here at Solar Teaching, where I have the pleasure of overseeing our general business operations.

My professional journey has been nothing short of unique. Initially pursuing a career in Law, I graduated with a BA in Law and spent valuable years working at a senior level. However, feeling the magnetic pull towards the world of education, I decided to take a leap of faith and embrace this new path.

During this time, I had the privilege of working closely with the SENCo, where I have actively contributed to the operational and financial aspects of the school. This allowed me to channel my skills and experiences towards making a positive impact in my role at Solar Teaching. I recently embraced the wonderful journey of motherhood, adding a new dimension to my life. Balancing the responsibilities of being a new mum alongside the demands of running a business has undoubtedly presented its fair share of challenges, but it has also brought immense joy and fulfilment.”
