Cumbrian manufacturer, and Chamber member, Oxley Group has been recognised on the national stage as a finalist in in the Global Britain Award category at the British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Business Awards 2026.
Nominated by Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, the Ulverston-based business has been named a finalist in a category celebrating companies achieving significant and sustained international growth.
With exports accounting for 84% of turnover and customers across more than 34 countries, international trade sits at the heart of Oxley’s business.
From its design and manufacturing facility in Ulverston, Oxley supplies advanced LED lighting systems, electronic components and integrated solutions to major defence and aerospace organisations worldwide, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Saab, Airbus and Gulfstream.
The company has achieved sustained growth of around 20% year on year, securing contracts across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Recent successes include work supporting the Saab Gripen fighter aircraft in Sweden, Gulfstream G500 and G600 aircraft in the United States and the KF21 fighter aircraft programme in South Korea.

Oxley’s international growth has been supported by continued investment in its Cumbrian operation, including more than £2 million invested in its Ulverston facility and a team of 30 engineers developing next-generation technologies for global customers.
