Full line-up announced for Conference Cumbria 2025

After many months working hard behind the scenes, Cumbria Chamber is proud to announce the full line-up for its third annual Conference Cumbria!

After many months working hard behind the scenes, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the full line-up for its third annual business conference, Conference Cumbria!

The programme features a range of entrepreneurs, innovators and experts and our headline speaker, Sara Davies MBE, all speaking on the theme of ‘Make It Happen’!

In her keynote speech, Sara Davies will share her journey – from the early days assisting her parents in running their paint and decorating shop to the inspiration that led her to establish her multi-million-pound business, Crafter’s Companion, aged just 21 from her university bedroom. Sara explains why age should never be a barrier to starting a business and how it’s never, ever too late to make things happen!

Also joining us on the day is certified leadership coach, Alec Pearson, who will deliver a talk entitled Make It Happen Together – How Aligned Teams Drive Real Business Results, exploring how to get people pulling in the same direction as a powerful strategy for accelerating growth, innovation, and results.

We’re also excited to welcome the Harrison Network’s Lucy Harrison & Heather Grisedale’s with a workshop called ‘Building a culture of performance – making work a little less sh*t’. This hands-on session will cut through the jargon and explore how to improve the working environment in your business. Be prepared to get involved!

The last slot on the morning of the conference will feature our Young Entrepreneurs Panel with five of Cumbria’s most exciting young business owners, each of whom is already making a powerful impact in their industries.

Lesley Robinson, Head of Business Support at Cumbria Chamber of Commerce said:

“Conference Cumbria 2025 promises to be an unmissable event for anyone looking to get inspired and make new business connections in Cumbria! With a stellar line-up including Sara Davies MBE, we’re looking forward to a day full of talks and workshops, with transformational insights and networking opportunities. Spaces are limited, so we urge everyone to book early and secure their place for this year’s conference!”
