Cumbria Chamber of Commerce has been named as one of just five finalists for the prestigious UK Chamber of the Year award during the year in which it celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The Chamber has been shortlisted alongside Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce and Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.
Organised by the British Chambers of Commerce, the Chamber Awards recognise the strength, innovation and impact of Chambers across the network, celebrating their work to support businesses, strengthen local economies and deliver positive change within their communities.
The national recognition comes during a period of significant momentum for Cumbria Chamber, which is currently recognised as the fastest-growing Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
Alongside its growing membership, the Chamber continues to expand the support available to businesses through Cumbria Business Growth Hub, its programme of business events and training, its policy and lobbying work, and the delivery of Cumbria’s Local Skills Improvement Plan.

The UK Chamber of the Year award recognises excellence across the Chamber Network. Finalists will be assessed on a significant project demonstrating innovation, collaboration, tangible local impact, effective commercialisation and contributions to membership retention, engagement and recruitment.
Suzanne will join James Bridges, the Chamber’s Head of Membership and Commercial, to present to the judging panel on 21 September.
The winner of UK Chamber of the Year will be announced on 14 October.
