Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce broadcast icon Suzi Perry as the headline speaker for this year’s International Women’s Day event, taking place on Monday 9th March at the Greenhill Hotel, Wigton centred around the powerful theme Give to Gain.
One of the UK’s most respected television and radio broadcasters, Suzi Perry brings more than two decades of experience at the highest level of global sport and live broadcasting. Widely known as the “Queen of the Pit Lane”, she is recognised as a trailblazer who has helped redefine what leadership and representation look like in a traditionally male-dominated field. At the event, Suzi will share insights into her career journey, overcoming challenges and the importance of representation and resilience.
Suzi will be joined by an inspiring line-up of speakers including Julie Clayton of Eden Valley Hospice/Jigsaw and Caroline Rayner of Knights, who will bring practical business insight and real-world experience to the day’s programme.
Attendees will also hear from a panel of influential regional business leaders, including:
- Jill Johnston, Cumberland Building Society
- Emma Porter, Rebuild Site
- Lauren Allison, Genesis Homes
Together, the speakers and panel will explore how giving time, knowledge, opportunity and support within business networks can generate stronger growth, leadership and resilience across Cumbria’s economy.
The International Women’s Day event is open to all and will combine keynote talks, panel discussion and vibrant, high-value networking, built around this year’s central focus, Give to Gain, which explores how collaboration, shared learning and mutual support can drive stronger businesses and careers.
So, whether you’re early in your career or well established, and whatever business you’re in, it will be a day packed with inspiration and insight.
