Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the latest business to take up its new Chamber Partnership offer, Muncaster Castle!
With a history stretching back 800 years, Muncaster Castle is one of Cumbria’s most iconic landmarks, welcoming over 60,000 visitors every year. The partnership with Cumbria Chamber of Commerce marks a new chapter in the Castle’s history as it seeks to expand its engagement with the business community.
In 2025, the Castle is set to promote its new offering for businesses, which includes a range of facilities for corporate retreats, events and team-building days. Businesses are able to book rooms within the castle for meetings and conferences, treat their staff with excellent catering and accommodation and offer entertainment with activities including archery, axe-throwing and bird of prey displays.
Marketing Manager at the Chamber, Joe Sanders and Sales Manager James Bridges paid a visit to the Castle this week to see the facilities up close and discuss plans for the year ahead. Joe said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Muncaster Castle as our latest Chamber Partner and look forward to having them as a key member of our network. They have a fantastic corporate offering, which will be an asset for teams looking to escape the office to focus on creativity and team building. Thanks to Ewan and his team for hosting us this week to discuss plans for 2025 including some potential business events – watch this space!”
Ewan Frost-Pennington, General Manager at Muncaster Castle said:
“Muncaster has always been a place of business, whether that be defending Cumbrians and their interests against historic foes, networking dinners or being a place of sharing ideas with an extensive library. Today is no different and we would like to ensure we work with local businesses to contribute to the thriving and growing business community in Western Cumbria and the wider county. Partnering with the Chamber is a good step to being more active in this space.”
