Local Skills Improvement Plan update

We’re happy to report that the 2023 Cumbria Local Skills Improvement Plan has now been submitted to the Department for Education (DfE).
Spring Statement Response

We’ll be publishing it on the LSIP page of our website as soon as we get the go ahead from DfE in July.

In the meantime, LSIP Project Facilitator Irene Mickiewicz is working on a full update of the Priorities and Actions table, adding the actions from the latest plan and any further actions in supporting documents. This will be updated on the LSIP website page as soon as it’s ready. But there are lots of actions so it is quite a task!

We’d like to again thank everyone who contributed to our research this year. Almost 500 of you answered our survey and this was supported by many 1-2-1 meetings and focus groups held with employers throughout the county by the Chamber and our ERB partners.

Going forward there will be lots more opportunities to get involved and help shape skills provision in Cumbria. So keep an eye out for information on surveys as well as upcoming focus groups, with some already scheduled for October (dates tbc).
