Leo Group is one of the UK’s leading specialists in animal by-products and renewable energy. We play a critical role in the food and agricultural industries collecting and processing material – which is converted into meals and oils for use in pet food, cosmetics, chemicals, and renewable fuel.
As we continue to grow and develop our business, we are looking for cleaners for our Omega Proteins plant in Penrith. This is a great opportunity for individuals that are hardworking and keen to be part of an existing business that continues to grow.
You will be required to support an efficient production process by maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You must not have an issue working around animal raw material (carcass etc).
What will I be doing?
• Completion of thorough handovers with outgoing/incoming Cleaners
• Cleaning of the work environment in adherence to the cleaning schedule
• Completion of any ad hoc requests
• Ensure that all cleaning tools are maintained to required standard
• Ensure that all cleaning products and chemicals are stored correctly
• Ensure that raw and processed waste materials are separated and disposed of correctly
• Identification and reporting of any spillages, damages or issues (regardless of scale & impact) in a timely manner
• Completion of documentation; regular and ad hoc
• Responsible for health and safety of the work environment
• Any additional activities as required by the management team.

What we are looking for?
Qualifications & Experience
• 1 year experience in cleaning (desirable)
• Previous experience within the industry (full training will be given)
Ability to commute/relocate:
• Penrith: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
• Driving Licence (preferred)

Pay: £11.44-£13.05 per hour
Expected hours: 48 – 55 per week
